Candace Cameron Bure, known for Full House, has revealed that she still struggles with bulimia, a disorder she developed at 18. On her July 22 podcast episode, she shared that it began after her parents put her on a diet, changing how she saw her body. “I’m a bulimic. And I still say I’m a bulimic,” she admitted, even though she no longer engages in the behavior.
Bure said her parents meant well and focused on health, but dieting became the norm at home. That mindset stayed with her. “It shaped the way I looked at my body,” she said. Faith later helped her heal. “God allowed my body to speak back,” she once shared tearfully.Now nearly 50, Bure focuses on strength, not vanity. “I wanna open the peanut butter jar when I’m 80,” she said with a smile. She also responds to hurtful comments online with grace, urging kindness. “Be kind. Uplift others. Spread joy.”
