My sister (30, female) got married yesterday. I (32, male) was very happy for her and agreed to help her. She told me the wedding would be childless, which I understand, so I asked my best friend if there was any way he could babysit my son and he agreed.
I arrived at the wedding and discovered that some children were invited. There were probably about 15 kids there. I was confused, but I didn’t want to make a fuss, so I waited until my sister came up to me and I asked her what the problem was.Surely the man did not expect to find so many little ones as part of the event, let alone the answer his sister gave him.
What she told me broke my heart and I don’t know how I will ever see her the same way again. She confessed that they had excluded my son (12 years old) because he has an amputated leg. She said he would draw attention to himself at the wedding.Since then, I’ve been getting dozens of messages from people saying that my leaving made my sister start crying and ruined the whole wedding but I honestly don’t care at this point. I’m devastated. I’m a single parent, so I don’t have someone to help me right now. But these messages are really making me wonder.. did I act wrong?

She should admit to his face, that she didn’t think he was good enough for her wedding, and I don’t even know what she could do or say as an apology that is gonna cut it. This is pretty horrible.
