I was 22 years old and married to a man 10 years older. On our wedding night, she got very drunk, called my aunt’s name and revealed a shocking secret

1. The marriage that I thought was a dream
I am Hạnh, 22 years old, growing up in a small village. I used to think that my life would be spent on the farm and selling all the goods in the market. But one day, I was introduced to a successful man from the city – Minh, 32 years old.

He was the director of a construction company, with a serious and calm demeanor. At first I was skeptical because of our age gap, but his kind words, his caring treatment, and promises of a rich life made me say yes. My parents were overjoyed:
“You are so blessed, son. You have a good wife.”

The wedding was made bigger. All the relatives were impressed, saying I was lucky because at such a young age I already had a solid future.

But they never imagined, on the very night of the wedding, the dream would turn into a nightmare.

2. The wedding night – the first crack
After the fun, when the guests had left, we entered the wedding room. The light was dim, rose petals scattered on the bed. I was nervous, embarrassed, but happy. He gave me a hug, and the wine made his eyes sparkle strangely.

Within minutes, my heart froze.

He hugged me tightly and under his heavy breath came the words:
– “Aunt Lan… Aunt and Uncle are my life…”

It was like a lightning bolt hitting me. Aunt Lan – my mother’s sister, 35 years old, beautiful and smart – she was always my idol. I tremblingly removed his hands:
— “Whom did you call?”

Minh was stunned, and because of his drunkenness he couldn’t hide the truth anymore. The eyes were red, the voice was hoarse:
– “I love Aunt Lan. But she rejected me. So… So you are my wife.”

It felt like my world was falling apart. The man my family trusted me, he was obsessed with my own uncle.

3. Bitter confession
The next day, hoping it was all just a dream, I asked him again. But with a clear mind, she looked at me and said:
— “Your aunt and I have been lovers for a long time. I have loved her for a long time. But because of his past and fear of gossip, he ended it. When I met you, I saw his shadow on you… So…”

It felt like my heart had been crucified. It turned out that I was just a substitute, a “shadow” of love that he didn’t get.

4. Explosion of bi kịch in the family
I endured everything, didn’t say anything right away. But when Aunt Lan visited a few weeks later, Minh couldn’t hide her eyes. At the dinner table, she was staring at it, and Aunt was visibly averting her eyes.

By the end of the night, I was no longer able to breathe. I asked Auntie:
— “Auntie, do you love my wife?”

He cried:
— “Hạnh, forgive me. Yes, we used to love each other. But I knew it was wrong, so I ended it. I didn’t think you were going to marry her. I didn’t know you were going to be the victim.”

It felt like those words tore my heart apart.

5. Escalating conflict
I continued to live under the stigma of that secrecy. With each intoxication, Minh’s name is repeated over and over again. I felt like I was just too much.

Until one day, my mother caught them talking to each other in secret. He could see the tears in his eyes and the tears in his eyes. Unable to contain himself, Mama slapped Minh:
– “You are shameless! What do you think of my son?”

All the secrets were blown away. My aunt was called a “snake,” and I was even more embarrassed by the embarrassment.

6. The decision to divorce
After a lot of suffering, I confronted Minh:
– “I can’t live in this marriage. I am not someone else’s shadow. When I was younger, I had the right to live for myself.”

She begged:
— “Give me time, I will forget about Auntie. I will learn to love you.”

But I know that my heart is not broken. So I filed for divorce. Despite the strong opposition of both families, I continued.

7. The end of each
one I left after a few months of marriage. Some people have said that I have given up on my life. But I felt free. I went back to my normal life, started studying again and forged my own path.

Aunt Lan, carrying the shame, moved to another city and almost severed ties with the family.

Minh, on the other hand, lost his wife and dignity, addicted to alcohol, gradually collapsed the business.

In spite of my pain, I learned to be self-reliant. I have come to realize that marriage is not a ticket to change lives, but a home of peace.

8. Last message
Now, I have no resentment. Their mistakes, and more importantly their silence, are what kill trust.

On the night of the wedding, a misspelling of the name exposed everything. Since then, I have learned that pain serves as a bridge to strengthen.

I – the former 22-year-old innocent – now know: true happiness does not depend on others, but on the courage to step out of the darkness to find one’s own light.
