The image, originally posted by consumer advocate Christopher Elliott, gained traction when the hip-hop group Pretty Ricky shared it, writing: “Airlines will have to have something in place for plus-sized passengers… It’s a difficult situation because the airline will need to think of a happy medium.”

The post attracted thousands of comments, many arguing that larger passengers should pay for extra space.
